Qatar Foundation Launches ‘Let’s Speak Arabic’ Campaign to Celebrate International Day of Education

Doha: Qatar Foundation (QF) will commemorate the International Day of Education on Thursday by launching the 'Let's Speak Arabic' campaign. Held at Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC), the event will feature a series of discussions, workshops, and activities that are open to the community, with the objective of bolstering the stature of the Arabic language.

According to Qatar News Agency, the campaign coincides with the International Day of Education, which is annually observed by the United Nations on January 24 to spotlight the vital role of education in empowering individuals and communities to drive societal progress. Themed as 'Education is Everyone's Responsibility', the event is held to underscore the shared commitment to providing high-quality education that is rooted in local values, promotes the Arabic language, upholds Islamic principles, and strengthens national identity.

The campaign will highlight innovation in education, the integration of technology in learning, and efforts to promote the Arabic language, cultural identity, and ethical values. It will feature educational projects from students and teachers, an interactive exhibition showcasing contributions from institutions and companies advancing comprehensive education, alongside engaging workshops and panel discussions on key topics. Participants from Awsaj Academy and Renad Academy will share their personal experiences.

Public sessions will explore the role of companies, private institutions, and media in supporting education. A concluding session led by QF's Doha International Family Institute will emphasize the role of parents in fostering pride in the Arabic language, strengthening cultural identity, and offering practical strategies to integrate Arabic into family life.

The event marks the launch of the campaign, which seeks to promote Arabic as a primary language within QF's schools. It aims to raise awareness about the language's significance among students and their families, thereby fostering national values and cultural identity. It will involve students and teachers from QF schools, as well as other schools statewide, alongside 21 local companies that will offer activities designed to enhance education and encourage community engagement.
