Doha: The semi-finals of the Qatar Handball Federation Championship 2025 - 2026 are set to take place on Tuesday, featuring thrilling matchups between Al Arabi and Al Wakrah, and Al Duhail against Al Shamal. According to Qatar News Agency, the four teams secured their semi-final berths following strong performances in the group stage. Al Arabi dominated Group A, amassing 13 points to finish ahead of Al Shamal, who collected nine points to take the second spot. Over in Group B, Al Duhail emerged as the frontrunners with 10 points, while Al Wakrah advanced in second place with eight points. The championship's final and the third-place playoff are slated for December 23. The tournament, held during the league break, serves as an opportunity for international players to integrate with the Qatari national team as they prepare for the upcoming 22nd Asian Men's Handball Championship in Kuwait this January. This continental event also acts as a qualifier for the 2027 World Men's Handball Championship. Al Arabi en ters the semi-finals as the defending champions, having secured the title last season (2024-2025). Al Rayyan finished as runners-up last year, with Al Duhail claiming third place.
