Qatar Hosts International LNG Conference, Solidifying Global Leadership in Energy Sector

Doha: Qatari newspapers on Tuesday highlighted the patronage of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani of the 21st International Conference and Exhibition on Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG2026), emphasizing Qatar's leading global position in the LNG industry and commitment to enhancing international cooperation for a sustainable energy future.

According to Qatar News Agency, Al-Raya's editorial titled "Qatari Gas: A Cornerstone of Global Energy Security," emphasized Doha's continued consolidation as a global LNG capital, driven by expansion projects set to elevate production capacity and secure a significant share of new global LNG supplies over the next decade.

Al-Raya highlighted that HH the Amir's patronage of LNG2026 underscores Qatar's pivotal role in global energy security, in line with its leadership's vision. The editorial described Doha's hosting of the event as the result of strategic planning and investments, positioning Qatar as a key pillar of the global energy system amid geopolitical challenges and shifts in energy consumption patterns.
