Qatar Joins GCC Strategic Security Planning Meeting

Riyadh: The State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Interior (MOI), participated Thursday in the 16th meeting of the Permanent Committee for Strategic Security Planning of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, held at the headquarters of the GCC's General Secretariat in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Assistant director of the MOI's Strategic Planning Department, Colonel Faisal Jassim Al Sulaiti, led the State of Qatar's delegation to the meeting.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting discussed a range of themes pertaining to the comprehensive Gulf security strategy and produced appropriate recommendations thereon. The discussions aimed to enhance collaboration among GCC states in addressing regional security challenges, ensuring the stability and safety of the Gulf region. The outcomes of the meeting are expected to contribute significantly to the ongoing efforts in strengthening strategic security planning across the member states.
