Ashgabat: The State of Qatar participated in the high-level international forum held to mark the International Year of Peace and Trust and celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan. The event took place in the Turkmen capital, Ashgabat.

According to Qatar News Agency, the State of Qatar was represented at the forum by Her Excellency Minister of State for International Cooperation Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad. Her Excellency also participated in a ceremony where flowers were laid in front of the Neutrality Tower, a monument built in Ashgabat to commemorate Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality policy. This policy was officially recognized by the United Nations in 1995.
