Qatar Launches Trainer Development Program to Strengthen Youth Sector

Doha: Qatar's Ministry of Sports and Youth has launched a trainer development program aimed at boosting national expertise, improving the quality of training and preparing qualified trainers in line with international professional standards.

According to Qatar News Agency, the initiative, which runs until July 23, forms part of the ministry's efforts to strengthen the youth sector by equipping participants with the skills to design, deliver and evaluate training programs. The initiative also supports the goals of the Qatar National Vision 2030 by helping to develop a skilled national workforce.

Director of the Youth Affairs Department Fawaz Al Musifri said the program reflected the ministry's commitment to investing in human capital, describing the preparation of professional trainers as a strategic step towards improving the quality and impact of training across different sectors.

He said the ministry aimed to provide specialized training that keeps pace with developments in the field, enabling participants to acquire the practical and theoretical skills needed to transfer knowledge effectively and promote continuous learning within the youth sector.

Mayada Al Jabr, Director of the Guidance and Practice Development Project in the youth sector, said the initiative was designed to establish a national pool of qualified trainers capable of leading training programs according to international best practice.

She said the program also supports the project's strategic objectives, including improving the performance of youth centers and strengthening their compliance with organizational standards, leading to higher-quality services and programs for young people.

The curriculum includes practical modules on designing training programs, managing training sessions, engaging with different learning styles, developing training materials and delivering effective presentations. It also covers the use of artificial intelligence applications in designing and developing training content.

Participants will receive intensive practical and theoretical instruction, specialized training materials and an accredited certificate on completion of the program.

The ministry said the initiative forms part of its wider strategy to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of Qatar's youth sector through investment in national talent.
