Doha: Spaniard Coach of Al Wakrah team, Miguel Angel, expressed his aspirations to achieve his first victory tomorrow, Friday, in the match against Al Shahaniya, which will be hosted by Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium for the third round of the Qatar Football League (Ooredoo Stars League) for the 2024-2025 season. Angel added in a statement during the press conference preceding the match that the team is constantly developing in terms of attack and defense, noting that the team needs time to achieve harmony due to recent changes and the addition of new players. The former coach of Sporting Gijon in Spain explained that the preparations for the match focused on offensive organization, in terms of positioning and possession, in addition to creating opportunities, as well as developing the defensive system and making it more effective. For his part, Al-Shahaniya coach, Alvaro Mejia, acknowledged that Friday's match will be quite difficult, especially since the opponent has a distinguished number of experienced playe rs, indicating that he worked on raising concentration levels in order to reach the required level of readiness, stressing the need to double efforts to obtain satisfactory results. Meija expressed that the team is making gradual progress and emphasized the need for sustained focus and calm to meet the team's goals, noting that all teams have prepared well for the season. "We are not afraid of any team, we are still at the beginning, and we must make double efforts to get the results we need," Mejia said.
