Qatar Media Center Wraps UP Course on Making Broadcaster

Doha: The Qatar Media Center of the Ministry of Culture wrapped up Monday its two-day course on making a broadcaster. The course, which targeted the age group between 14 and 22 years, dealt with the skills of the art of presentation and communication and the key issues that a broadcaster may face and how to deal with them. It also included various topics that must be available to those wishing to work in radio, whether on screen or behind the microphone, in addition to the duties of the broadcaster. Media trainer of communication, public speaking and leadership skills, and the course presenter Abdullah Hamdan emphasized that the broadcaster is not just a reader of what is written for him. He pointed out the necessity of possessing media skills, including an understanding of the rules of the Arabic language, encyclopedic culture, mental acuity, and the ability to convey information in a distinguished manner. Director of the Qatar Media Center Iman Al Kaabi said that the course comes in light of the great de sire among many Qatari youth to enter the field of media. She stressed that the center's choices for the courses and workshops it offers stem from a clear study and strategy that focuses on providing the necessary training in the fields and skills needed by youth who wish to work in the media, which is reflected in the turnout for the course.
