Doha: The Qatar Chamber will host the second edition of Qatar's International Healthcare and Medical Exhibition and Conference, Qatar Medicare from November 11 to 13. Organized in collaboration with IFP Qatar under the patronage of the Ministry of Public Health, the event is set to bring together 100 local and international companies - 64 local and 36 international exhibitors - including health professionals, hospital representatives, medical service providers, distributors of medical supplies and equipment, technology experts, and investors.
According to Qatar News Agency, Acting General Manager of Qatar Chamber, Ali Saeed Bu Sharbak Al Mansouri, emphasized the rapid progress in Qatar's healthcare sector, noting that the country is establishing itself as a leading destination for medical tourism in the Middle East and ranks among the top globally in healthcare service quality. He highlighted the event as a crucial platform for forging partnerships and exploring collaboration and investment opportunities, supporting the Third National Development Strategy and Qatar National Vision 2030.
HE Director of the Department of NCDs Prevention Programs at the Ministry of Public Health, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Thani, remarked on Qatar's world-class healthcare ecosystem, positioning the nation as a global hub for healthcare innovation. He mentioned the ongoing implementation of the Third National Health Strategy, focusing on enhancing quality of life and developing a modern healthcare system grounded in clinical excellence, sustainability, and innovation.
Hayat Bayan, Commercial and Operations Director at IFP Qatar, stated that Qatar Medicare showcases the latest innovations, technologies, and healthcare services. The event provides an ideal platform for professionals, companies, and stakeholders to connect and explore new opportunities. This year, the event has seen significant international participation from 14 countries, featuring prominent institutions such as the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, UNESCO, and the World Health Organization.
Bayan also noted that the conference will include panel discussions and workshops, with more than 40 expert speakers participating. The agenda comprises 25 presentations, five dialogue sessions, four workshops, training sessions, and an Open Stage segment for professionals to share their expertise. The event will culminate with the Qatar Medicare 2025 Healthcare Excellence Awards, honoring 15 categories of outstanding healthcare institutions and individuals.
