Doha: Deposit rates at opening as issued on Thursday by Qatar National Bank (QNB) reveal the interest rates for various currencies and terms. The bank's rates are detailed for USD, JPY, CHF, GBP, QAR, SAR, AED, and BHD currencies.

According to Qatar News Agency, QNB's rates for the US dollar (USD) range from 3.72744% for a 1-month deposit to 3.47966% for a 12-month deposit. The Japanese yen (JPY) rates vary from 0.60000% for a 1-month deposit to 0.80000% for a 12-month deposit. Swiss franc (CHF) deposit rates are negative, starting at -0.13000% for 1 month and moving to a positive 0.07000% for 12 months. For the British pound (GBP), the rates range from 3.69000% for a 1-month deposit to 4.00000% for a 12-month deposit.

For regional currencies, the Qatari riyal (QAR) has a 1-month deposit rate of 4.02500%, decreasing to 3.75000% for a 12-month term. The Saudi riyal (SAR) starts at 4.50000% for 1 month and stabilizes at 4.30000% for longer terms. The Emirati dirham (AED) rates begin at 2.05000% for 1 month, increasing to 3.15000% for a 12-month deposit. For the Bahraini dinar (BHD), the rates start at 4.60000% for a 1-month term, decreasing to 4.10000% for a 12-month deposit.
