Doha: Deposit rates at Qatar National Bank (QNB) were released on Thursday, revealing the latest figures for various currencies including USD, JPY, CHF, and GBP, as well as QAR, SAR, AED, and BHD.
According to Qatar News Agency, the deposit rates for USD start at 4.32307 for a 1-month term and gradually decrease to 3.78475 for a 12-month term. In contrast, the rates for JPY fluctuate slightly, with a 1-month rate at 0.35000 and a 12-month rate increasing to 0.55000. For CHF, the rates are negative for some terms, including -0.01000 for 1-month and -0.05000 for 3-months, while the 6-month and 12-month terms offer positive rates of 0.05000 and 0.03000 respectively. GBP rates start at 4.16000 for 1-month and vary across terms, peaking at 4.27000 for 2-months before settling at 4.15000 for a 12-month term.
For regional currencies, QAR deposit rates begin at 4.85000 for a 1-month term, decreasing to 4.45000 for 12-months. SAR rates are slightly higher at 4.90000 for 1-month, before dropping to 4.80000 for the 12-month term. AED rates show a steady increase, starting at 2.05000 for 1-month and reaching 3.15000 for the 12-month term. BHD rates exhibit a peak of 5.43000 for a 2-month term before declining to 5.12000 for 12-months.
