Doha: A round of political consultations was convened in Doha on Sunday between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar and the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The consultations aimed to explore avenues for advancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Qatari delegation was led by HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi. The Nigerian delegation was chaired by HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar. The discussions were focused on strengthening the diplomatic and cooperative ties between Qatar and Nigeria.
