Qatar Olympic Academy’s Global Engagement in Greece Highlights Commitment to Olympic Values

Muscat: The Qatar Olympic Academy recently participated in the 19th International Session for National Olympic Academies' and National Olympic Committees' Delegates in Ancient Olympia, Greece. The session, focused on "Empowering Inclusion, Integrity and Responsibility for Every Athlete," witnessed the participation of 140 delegates from 100 countries.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Executive Director of the Qatar Olympic Academy, Khalil Ibrahim Al Jaber, emphasized that participating in this forum marks a significant step in enhancing the Academy's international presence. He noted that the event serves as a unique platform for the exchange of experiences and knowledge among sports academies worldwide.

In a press statement, Al Jaber stated that their involvement in the forum underscores Qatar's commitment to promoting Olympic values and highlights the role of sport as a medium for cultural and human communication. He also emphasized the Academy's active role in discussions on inclusion, integrity, and responsibility, which are central to the Olympic Movement.

Al Jaber further explained that the Academy aims to establish strategic partnerships with international counterparts and develop educational and training programs aligned with the latest global trends. This initiative is intended to prepare national cadres capable of leading sports activities to the highest standards.

He also highlighted that the discussions on governance, transparency, and sustainability in sports during the forum provide valuable opportunities to exchange ideas and adopt best practices. These discussions are expected to positively impact the development of the sports system in Qatar and the surrounding region.
