The State of Qatar participated in the 128th session of the Permanent Council of the Francophonie, held today in Paris, under the chairmanship of HE Secretary-General of the International Organization of La Francophonie Louise Mushikiwabo. Qatar was represented at the meeting by HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the French Republic and its representative to the organization Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani. HE the Secretary-General of the Francophonie opened the session by reviewing the organization's political, diplomatic, and economic activities, with a focus on developments in Guinea, as well as administrative and financial issues, and cooperation among member states. The meeting also addressed preparations for the upcoming Francophonie summit scheduled for October, discussing the draft agenda for the 19th summit and its final statement. It's worth noting that the State of Qatar believes in the importance of supporting and enhancing cooperation among French-speaking countries. Since joining the Inte rnational Organization of La Francophonie in 2012, Qatar has actively participated in all the organization's activities to promote cultural dialogue and deepen international relations based on mutual respect and understanding.
