The State of Qatar took part in the 45th session of the Governing Council of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
The State of Qatar was represented at the virtual meetings by HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Italian Republic and Qatar’s Governor for IFAD Khalid bin Yousef Al Sada.
The Council will focus on the overarching theme “Leveraging innovations and finance for a climate resilient and inclusive recovery.” The meetings will discuss a number of issues related to the Fund’s results-based program of work, the Fund’s regular and capital budgets, debt of the heavily indebted poor countries, and the implementation of performance-based resource allocation.
