Doha: The Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Center, under the Ministry of Culture, is showcasing its collection at the World Stamp Championship Exhibition, organized by the Federation Internationale de Philatelie (FIP) from February 17-22, 2025, in Uruguay. According to Qatar News Agency, the Director of the Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Center, Hussein Rajab Al Ismail, announced that the center will present three stamp exhibitions that have previously garnered international acclaim. These include the postal services in Qatar from 1930 to 1963, displayed over five frames, the historical book on Qatar stamps from the early period to the era of Sheikh Ahmad Bin Ali Al-Thani, and the postal history of Kuwait, showcased over eight frames. The Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Center holds memberships in the FIP, Federation of Inter-Asian Philately (FIAP), and the executive committee of FIAP. The center remains committed to engaging in international exhibitions organized by FIP and FIAP. The center's mission is to promote the hobby of stamp and coin collecting, striving for its advancement and facilitating its development through various means and methods.
