Qatar Rail and FYAP JV Complete Initial Phase of Knowledge Transfer for Qatari Engineers

Doha: Qatar Railways Company (Qatar Rail), in collaboration with FYAP JV, has successfully completed the first phase of a strategic knowledge transfer program. This initiative is designed to train Qatari engineers and enhance national capabilities within the railway sector, aligning with a social and corporate contribution agreement between the two entities.

According to Qatar News Agency, the program's success underscores Qatar Rail's commitment to Qatar's National Vision by investing in human capital and national talent. It also supports internationalization efforts by providing experiential learning opportunities that align with Qatar's goals of achieving a sustainable, knowledge-based economy.

The first phase included a specialized training program in Spain for eight Qatari engineers, accompanied by two supervisors. Participants received intensive practical training, gaining first-hand knowledge of international best practices and major infrastructure projects led by FCC Construction, the leader of FYAP JV, as noted by Qatar Rail.

Spanning 10 days, the program included technical visits to several strategic projects. This initiative is part of a three-year knowledge transfer agreement between Qatar Rail and FYAP JV, which will continue with similar programs for future groups of Qatari engineers. It forms a critical component of Qatar Rail's strategy to provide national talent with practical experience and applied learning.

Additionally, Qatar Rail and FYAP JV organized a two-day technical seminar in Doha on urban transport systems. The seminar, aimed at Qatar Rail's engineering staff, focused on fostering a culture of professional development, knowledge sharing, and employee motivation.
