Doha: Qatari newspapers highlighted two main topics in their editorials Thursday, including HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's ratification of the constitutional amendments of 2024 to the Permanent Constitution of the State of Qatar, marking a historic new chapter in the country's state-building and development process. The newspapers also noted HH the Amir's congratulations to President-Elect Donald Trump on winning the US presidential election, reaffirming the strong strategic ties between Qatar and the friendly United States, as well as their collaborative efforts on various regional and international issues. These amendments are effective from the date of announcing the referendum results and to be published in the Official Gazette.
