Kuwait city: The Qatar Scientific Club (QSC), affiliated with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, is set to participate in the 16th edition of the Middle East International Inventions Exhibition, organized by the State of Kuwait from 8 to 11 February 2026. The QSC delegation will present a range of innovative projects across scientific and technological fields.
According to Qatar News Agency, the delegation, led by Deputy Executive Director Eng. Abdulrahman Saleh Khamis, includes five innovators whose projects reflect the creativity and excellence of Qatari youth. Among the participants, Hessa Mansour Al Nuaimi will showcase the Ultrasonic Fire Extinguishing Device, which uses sound waves to extinguish flames without chemicals. Shahd Ahmed Al Sulaiti will introduce the Smart Helmet, a device that utilizes ultrasonic sensors and AI to measure distances and capture images, developed in collaboration with the Public Works Authority (Ashghal).
Innovator Mohamed Hassan Al Sayed will present the Advanced Coral Reef Map, a tool using deep learning to monitor coral reefs. Hessa Ibrahim Al Kuwari will display the Medication Reminder Device, designed to aid patients with medication adherence through alerts. Jawhara Mohamed Al Shammari will exhibit the Drone for Monitoring Fungal Diseases in Greenhouses, which uses imaging and data analysis to detect plant infections.
Eng. Abdulrahman Saleh Khamis highlighted the Club's ongoing participation in what is regarded as the second-largest inventions exhibition globally. This involvement aims to support Qatari innovations, empower young innovators, and foster international connections, particularly with Gulf and Arab nations. He emphasized the Club's history of awards at the exhibition and acknowledged the Ministry of Sports and Youth for its support.
