Muscat: The State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Culture, is participating in the 29th Muscat International Book Fair. The Ministry is presenting a selection of its own publications, alongside those from Qatari publishing houses, at its pavilion. This initiative supports Qatari publishers by offering them a platform at international cultural forums.

According to Qatar News Agency, participating Qatari publishing houses include Dar Roza, Dar Al Watad, and Hamad Bin Khalifa University Press. These publishers are showcasing a range of titles spanning literature, short stories, children's literature, novels, and scientific research.

Jassim Ahmed Al Buainain, Director of Libraries and Doha International Book Fair, emphasized the Ministry's commitment to international book fairs. He highlighted the opportunity to showcase Qatari intellectual output, the progress of the country's publishing industry, and the potential for building cultural partnerships and cooperation with specialists in culture and publishing.

It also seeks to highlight Qatari literature and culture, and display the Ministry's publications across various knowledge fields, including law, social sciences, and human sciences, in addition to children's and young adult literature.

The exhibition will include events, programs, scientific initiatives, theatrical performances, and cultural workshops. Activities for children, visual arts shows, recitation, story and poetry writing competitions, and workshops are planned.
