LONDON: The State of Qatar, represented by Qatar Tourism (QT), took part in the 2024 World Travel Market, which began on Tuesday in London, UK, and will continue until November 7, 2024, with broader international participation. During its participation, QT discussed the latest developments in the tourism sector in Qatar and led a delegation of 33 partners from the tourism sector, alongside four partnering institutions. According to Qatar News Agency, the two-storey pavilion of Visit Qatar is prominently featured at the market, serving as the marketing and promotional arm of Qatar Tourism (QT). It showcases a collection of luxury hotels and firms specializing in tourism destination management, alongside leading institutions in the hospitality sector. Qatar Airways, Discover Qatar, Katara Hospitality, and Qatar Calendar are participating in the event to support the pavilion and promote Qatar's prominence at this global event. The pavilion offers a modern and culturally authentic experience for visitors in a 6 09-square-meter area, including cultural workshops. It also features Qatar Calendar's coffee shop, where visitors can enjoy premium Qatari dates, and a section dedicated to the Meryal Waterpark, which boasts the longest water slide in the world. The pavilion provides a digital interactive experience, enhancing Qatar's appeal as a tourism hub. Through its participation in global expos, Qatar Tourism (QT) aims to enhance Qatar's standing on the world stage and provide communication opportunities for tourism leaders and providers, enabling them to explore state-of-the-art destinations in the tourism field.
