Qatar Stock Exchange Index Closes Lower as Trading Volume Remains High

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) main index concluded Wednesday's trading session with a decline of 36 points, or 0.32 percent, to settle at 11,384.88 points. The trading session was marked by a high volume of transactions and fluctuating share prices.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the session, a total of 123,396,170 shares were traded with a total value of QR 394,082,717.384. These transactions were spread across 25,809 deals and involved various sectors in the market. Despite the overall decline, 19 companies saw their share prices rise, while 31 companies experienced declines. Additionally, three companies maintained their previous closing prices, indicating a mixed performance across the market.

Market capitalization at the end of the session was reported at QR 681,466,301,342.340, which showed a decrease compared to QR 683,127,520,254.674 in the preceding session. This reflects the impact of the session's trading activities on the overall market value.
