Qatar Stock Exchange Opens Higher, Up 0.35%

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index advanced 36.52 points, or 0.35%, at the beginning of trading on Wednesday, reaching 10,546 points in comparison to the previous session's close.

According to Qatar News Agency, market data indicated gains across most sectors. The Insurance sector led the way with a rise of 3.16%, followed by Consumer Goods and Services at 1.23%, Real Estate at 1.14%, Telecoms at 0.89%, Transportation at 0.52%, and Banks and Financial Services at 0.37%. The Industrials sector was the only one to record a decline, decreasing by 0.37%.

By 10:00 am, the market saw a turnover of QR 77.224 million, with 42.197 million shares exchanged in 4,619 transactions.
