Under the auspices of HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, the Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) is due to host the 47th Session of Secretariat-General and the Meeting of the Executive Committee of the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization (ARCO).
Chaired by HE President of QRCS Yousef bin Ali Al Khater, the session convenes within the framework of efforts dedicated to promoting the role of Arab national societies in providing humanitarian and relief services to needy communities in the Arab world.
It also aims to boost cooperation and coordination among these societies to achieve best outcomes, provide essential support to those affected by wars and natural disasters and tackle multiple humanitarian, environmental, strategic, and administrative topics, and reports.
On the margins of the session, the QRCS hosts an exhibition under the theme of humanity of an artist which showcases several artistic paintings that hold humanitarian messages and goals, as well as a celebration to mark the International Humanitarian Law (IHL) day on Jun. 7, 2023, that will be addressed by a contingent of experts in Law and media.
