The State of Qatar is participating in the 55th GCC Meeting of Permanent Technical Committee for Civil Retirement and Social Security Bodies that will be hosted by Riyadh, Saudi Arabia during Jun. 12-14.
A delegation from Customer Management at the General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority (GRSIA), headed by GRSIA Director Ali Abdullah Al Kuwari will represent the State of Qatar at the meeting.
The meeting's agenda will discuss procedures that compel employers to pay subscriptions, statistical indicators to apply the unified system for extending insurance, target employees who are not registered in the unified system based on direct coordination, as well as challenges relevant to subscription payments for banks.
In addition, the meeting set to discuss many initiatives, including review and update of the unified system for extending insurance protection, update a comparative study of civil retirement and social insurance systems, electronic link initiative between civil retirement and social insurance agencies, unified annual awareness campaign, training and qualification initiative and unified annual awareness campaign.
The meeting will also discuss the initiative of coordination and engagement in international activities, development of collection mechanisms initiative, present a proposal on the award of civil pension and social insurance funds for scientific research, periodic seminars, in addition to honoring pioneering figures in civil retirement and social insurance.
The GCC Meeting of Permanent Technical Committee for Civil Retirement and Social Security Bodies convenes periodically whose works gain major significance since they crystallize shared vision and essential procedures that are presented before heads of Civil Retirement and Social Security Bodies to take appropriate actions accordingly.
