Qatar Triumphs with Double Gold at 24th Arab Men’s Athletics Championship

Algeria: The Qatari national team clinched two gold medals on Sunday at the 24th Arab Men's Athletics Championship hosted in Algeria. The event saw participation from 160 athletes representing 12 countries.

According to Qatar News Agency, runner Abderrahman Samba achieved a remarkable victory in the 400m hurdles, finishing with a time of 48.77 seconds. His teammate, Ashraf Al Saifi, also secured a gold medal in the hammer throw by recording a distance of 72.98 meters.

These victories elevate Qatar's total medal count at the championship to seven, comprising four gold, two silver, and one bronze medal. Previously, Team Qatar's achievements at the championship included Hamdi Al Amin's gold in the high jump with a height of 2.14 meters and Saif Mohamed's gold in the pole vault with a jump of 5.62 meters. Additionally, Ahmed Jibril earned a silver in the shot put with a distance of 17.88 meters, Omar Dawood secured silver in the 110m hurdles with a time of 13.78 seconds, and Moath Ibrahim claimed bronze in the discus throw with a distance of 57.67 meters.
