Qatar, Turkmenistan Chambers Seek to Activate Joint Business Council Agreement

Doha: First Vice-Chairman of the Qatar Chamber Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Twar Al Kuwari met with Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan Mergen Gurdov to discuss efforts to activate the Qatari-Turkmen Joint Business Council. The council was established through an agreement signed in 2010 aimed at strengthening ties between the business communities of Qatar and Turkmenistan and empowering their private sectors to play a significant role in advancing economic cooperation.

According to Qatar News Agency, Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Twar Al Kuwari emphasized the Qatar Chamber's support for enhancing cooperation between the private sectors of both countries. He encouraged Qatari businessmen to form trade partnerships with their Turkmen counterparts, highlighting the interest of Qatari investors in exploring investment opportunities in Turkmenistan.

Chairman Mergen Gurdov expressed hope for the further development of cooperation between the two chambers, which he believes will positively impact the business communities in both nations. He extended an invitation to Qatari businessmen to visit Turkmenistan to explore potential investment opportunities.

Qatar Chamber Board Member Dr. Mohamed bin Jawhar Al Mohamed pointed out that the establishment of the joint business council is expected to bring the business communities closer. It will also facilitate the exploration of investment opportunities and contribute to stronger economic integration between Qatar and Turkmenistan.
