Doha: The Qatar Volleyball Cup 2024-2025 final is scheduled on Sunday with a highly anticipated clash between Al Rayyan and Police teams at Aspire Hall in Doha. The final promises to be a high-caliber contest, as both sides vie for the prestigious title and seek to bring their seasons to a triumphant close.

According to Qatar News Agency, Al Rayyan and Police secured their berths in the final following a series of dramatic semifinal clashes. Al Rayyan faced Qatar SC in a tightly contested semifinal round, clinching the first leg with a 3-1 victory before narrowly falling 3-2 in the return leg. With the series level at one match apiece, a decisive tiebreaker was held, where Al Rayyan prevailed 3-2 to punch their ticket to the final.

Meanwhile, Police team squared off against Al Wakrah in a similarly intense semifinal. The first encounter saw Police edge past Al Wakrah 3-2, only to concede by the same scoreline in the second leg. With both teams having notched a win, a playoff was required, one that Police decisively won in straight sets, 3-1.

The Cup is contested by the top four finishers from the Qatar Volleyball League standings, namely Al Rayyan, Al Wakrah, Police, and Qatar SC. Al Arabi enters as the reigning titleholder, having captured the Qatar Volleyball Cup during the 2023-2024 season with a commanding 3-1 victory over Al Rayyan in the championship match held at the Qatar Volleyball Association Hall.
