Qatari and UK Officials Discuss AI and Digital Innovation Collaboration at Doha Summit

Doha: Qatar's Ministry of Commerce and Industry held talks on Wednesday with a visiting British delegation to explore deeper cooperation in artificial intelligence, digital innovation, and support for emerging technology enterprises. The meeting, led by Assistant Undersecretary for Industry and Business Development, Saleh Majid Al Khulaifi, brought together UK government officials, policy advisers, and senior executives from leading AI companies. The delegation is in Doha for the World Summit AI Qatar 2025.

According to Qatar News Agency, discussions focused on expanding joint initiatives in AI and digital transformation, as well as identifying new opportunities for collaboration in innovation and entrepreneurship. Both sides highlighted the potential for cooperation in nurturing start-ups and exchanging specialised expertise - areas seen as central to Qatar National Vision 2030 and the United Kingdom's economic-growth agenda.

Officials also reviewed Qatar's recent economic policies aimed at bolstering the private sector. The British delegation was briefed on the range of incentives, regulatory reforms, and investment opportunities the country offers to attract international investors and business leaders.
