Qatari Bronze in Youth Singles at 14th Friendship International Bowling Championship

Qatar: Qatar's national team player Talal Al Marri won the bronze medal in the Youth Singles event at the 14th Friendship International Bowling Championship, organized by the Qatar Bowling Federation. The Championship runs until Saturday with 112 players (64 males, 48 females) from 13 countries. Al Marri secured bronze after strong competition among 64 players, finishing with a total of 1,440 points.

According to Qatar News Agency, in the Girls' Singles, Singapore's Hazel Tan Wei Ning claimed gold with 1,385 points, followed by Japan's Kiri Watanabe with 1,380 points, Malaysia's Izdihar Kheratwan with 1,277 points, and Japan's Mio Nakashio with 1,276 points. The Championship continues with Youth Doubles, consisting of 32 boys' teams and 24 girls' teams, followed by team events, Masters, and overall rankings. Qatar is represented by 16 players in the Championship.

The Federation has allocated $16,900 in prize money for the event. Financial Secretary Saeed Al Hajri praised the organization's efforts and congratulated Al Marri on his achievement, emphasizing that the intensive preparations, including a training camp in Bahrain, supported the team's performance. Speaking to QNA, Al Marri expressed pride in winning bronze, highlighting the high-level competition and strong international participation.
