This was one of the premier rounds staged under the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour for both men's and women's categories.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Qatari duo suffered a 0 to 2 defeat on Saturday at the hands of the Czech pair Ondrej Perusic and David Schweiner, with set scores of 18 to 21 and 14 to 21. The team commenced its campaign in Pool E, securing two consecutive victories over formidable opponents. The team first edged past the French duo Clement Bassereau and Calvin Aye with a 2 to 1 win, before overcoming the Austrian pair Moritz Pristauz and Robin Seidl by the same margin.
These back-to-back triumphs propelled the Qatari duo to the top of the group standings and secured their advancement to the Round of 12. In this round, the team advanced to the quarterfinals with a commanding straight-sets victory over the world's top-ranked Norwegian duo, Anders Berntsen Mol and Christian Sorum. The Qatari pair sealed the match with a clinical 21 to 15 and 21 to 17 wins, underscoring their competitive edge and tactical composure on court.
