Qatari National Team Defeated by Jordan in West Asian Women’s Volleyball Championship

Amman: The Qatari women's volleyball team lost to Jordan's team 3-0 in a match held on Friday as part of the 2nd West Asian Women's Volleyball Championship, hosted by the Jordanian capital, Amman.

According to Qatar News Agency, the tournament, which will continue until October 11, is being held at Princess Sumaya Hall in Al Hussein Youth City. The tournament features the teams of Qatar, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia.

The Qatari national team will meet Iraq on Saturday, in the second round, then play Saudi Arabia next Monday in the third round. They will then play Lebanon next Tuesday in the third round, and will conclude their matches by meeting Syria next Thursday in the fourth round of the tournament.

This participation represents an important competitive milestone for the Qatari national team players, aiming to achieve a positive result in the tournament. Their participation will be an opportunity to gauge their level and strength against regional teams, and to work on improving their performance in group tournaments.
