In its editorial entitled "Combating Terrorism Requires Comprehensive Approach," Al-Raya highlighted the significant roles of the State of Qatar in enhancing international solidarity in the fight against terrorism. The State of Qatar's role has always prompted a global recognition, and it continues to work on activating multilateral international efforts, based on its belief that addressing this dangerous phenomenon requires unifying international efforts to eradicate terrorism from societies and address its root causes, Al-Raya said. Al-Raya pointed to the ministerial meeting to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS, organized by the US Department of State. During the meeting, HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi, reaffirmed Qatar's support for implementing counter-terrorism programs led by civilian authorities and adopting a comprehensive approach in order to disrupting ISIS networks and their affiliates. He also emphasized the importance of understanding that such terrorist organizations recruit supporters by exploiting the needs of vulnerable groups and pushing them towards extremism. The State of Qatar believes that combating and eradicating terrorism requires international efforts and an effective and participatory approach. No country or society is immune from this threat. From this standpoint, Doha has been actively involved in promoting the establishment of a broad international coalition to unite ranks and act as a strong barrier against the global spread of terrorism and violent extremism, Al-Raya concluded. Under the headline "Notable Achievements," Al-Watan newspaper said that the third meeting of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment, held yesterday under the chairmanship of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Chairman of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment, reviewed the decisions and recommendations of its second meeting of 2024 and the project follow-up report, along with a follow-up report on various projects and other matters. English newspaper, The Peninsula, said that the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, following states vision 2030, has taken a number of steps and launched numerous initiatives to promote the education of science and technology in the country. In its editorial titled "Promoting Science Education," The Peninsula said the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, through different opportunities and incentives, is encouraging students from school to university levels to excel in science and innovation. In this context, the paper pointed to the 16th National Research and Innovation Week 2024 which opened Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) on Sept. 29. The event aims to showcase the innovative and distinctive research produced by students minds, as it has become one of the most essential pre-university research forums in Qatar. The National Research and I nnovation Week stems from the continuous efforts of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education to hold annual scientific research and innovation exhibitions since 2009. This enhances students critical thinking, innovation, research, and inquiry skills in an era of continuous change and rapid technological advancement, The Peninsula added.
