Doha: Al-Raya newspaper has emphasized the widespread global rejection of Israeli aggression as a testament to Qatar's efforts in promoting peace, establishing stability, and advancing development at the global level. This stance also represents a strong condemnation of Israel for its alleged terrorist crimes and repeated violations of international law.
According to Qatar News Agency, while Qatar is intensifying its diplomatic efforts to broker a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, aiming to end what it describes as a barbaric war, Israel is accused of continuing its aggressive actions against Qatar. These actions have reportedly sparked global outrage, with Al-Raya describing the attack as a deliberate attempt to undermine Qatar's mediation efforts and an explicit rejection of peaceful solutions that could end the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip. The newspaper argues that Israel views the war as an opportunity to occupy remaining Palestinian territories and expel its people.
Al-Raya further highlighted that this aggression constitutes a serious violation of international law and the United Nations Charter, exposing what it calls Israel's reckless disregard for international norms and the sanctity of land and sovereignty. The newspaper called for broad international support for Qatar's measures to hold Israel accountable for its actions, questioning why Israel is not ostracized for committing war crimes against Palestinians and neighboring nations.
The editorial concluded by affirming Qatar's commitment to its rights under international law and its determination to hold Israel accountable for its alleged crimes. It stressed that the attack only strengthens Qatar's resolve in pursuing its path toward peace.
Meanwhile, The Peninsula newspaper described Israel's attack on Qatar as unprecedented in the region, highlighting it as a flagrant violation of Qatar's sovereignty and international norms. Despite the aggression, Qatar has shown restraint, with HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani affirming that the state will take all necessary measures to protect its security and sovereignty.
The Peninsula reported widespread international condemnation of the Israeli aggression, with leaders expressing solidarity with Qatar. The people of Qatar, including citizens and residents, have reportedly rallied behind the leadership in a show of national unity, cohesion, and solidarity. The Gulf Cooperation Council and the Arab world have also shown their support for Qatar.
The newspaper concluded by insisting that the Israeli aggression will not deter Qatar from its efforts for peace and sustainable development in the region and beyond. It emphasized the need to rein in the Israeli war machine for the sake of peace in the Middle East and called for accountability for its continued aggression in the Gaza Strip, the occupied West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, and elsewhere.
