Kuwait City: Qatari newspapers on Sunday underscored the commencement of the 45th session of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in Kuwait, with HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani participating alongside the leaders of GCC countries and heads of delegations. In a similar vein, Al-Arab newspaper reported on the participation of HH the Amir in the summit, highlighting Qatar's continuous efforts to strengthen Gulf unity. The summit, which takes place amid significant regional and international challenges, including developments in the Middle East, Gaza, and Syria, necessitates enhanced coordination among GCC countries to support regional and global stability. Al-Arab emphasized that this summit is the seventh held in Kuwait since the GCC's establishment in 1981, with a focus on continuing joint Gulf cooperation and developing cooperation mechanisms in various sectors.
