Qatari Newspapers Reflect on the Legacy of HH the Father Amir and Qatar’s Diplomatic Efforts

Doha: The enduring legacy of HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, may Allah have mercy on him, dominated the editorials of Qatari newspapers today, which reviewed his significant contributions to Qatar's progress on political, developmental, humanitarian, and diplomatic levels, and the widespread Arab and international esteem in which he was held. The editorials also highlighted Qatar's diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions and resolve conflicts, despite campaigns targeting its mediation role, and emphasized its unwavering stance against involvement in any military action.

According to Qatar News Agency, the newspapers stressed Doha's continued efforts, in coordination with its regional and international partners, to reach diplomatic solutions that enhance security and stability in the region, reflecting Qatar's steadfast policy of prioritizing dialogue as a firmly established strategic choice. In its editorial titled "A special status," Al Watan stated that the continued stream of phone calls received by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani offering condolences on the passing of HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, may Allah have mercy on him, for the fourth consecutive day, reflects the deep respect and appreciation for the nation's departed leader, and it also reflects the high standing that HH the Amir and the State of Qatar enjoy worldwide.

The newspaper elucidated that this standing is a result of Qatar's achievements at the local, regional, and international levels, through its unwavering commitment to strengthening international cooperation and multilateral action, and its continued collaboration with international agencies and organizations.
