Muscat: Recent meetings of the Qatari-Omani Joint Committee in Muscat have marked the onset of a new phase in Gulf economic cooperation, highlighting the commitment of Doha and Muscat to deepen their strategic partnership.
According to Qatar News Agency, these meetings, held during the committee's 24th session, resulted in the signing of a framework memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening trade and investment ties between the two nations. Additionally, a second memorandum was signed between Qatar Development Bank and the Omani Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, furthering bilateral economic collaboration.
The discussions during the Joint Committee meeting covered a wide range of initiatives and proposals in sectors such as agriculture, communications, transportation, tourism, banking, and education. The committee also explored promising investment opportunities in both countries, reinforcing the comprehensive scope of their economic cooperation.
