Qatari Prime Minister’s Participation at Antalya Diplomacy Forum Highlights Regional Support for Gaza

Doha: Qatari newspaper editorials on Sunday addressed multiple significant topics, notably emphasizing the participation of HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, which commenced in Turkiye on Friday.

According to Qatar News Agency, this participation is seen as a vital opportunity for Arab nations to garner support for pressing regional issues, particularly the situation in the Gaza Strip.

The editorials also focused on a key meeting between HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and HE President Ahmad Al Sharaa of the Syrian Arab Republic. During the meeting, Qatar's unwavering support for Syria's sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity was reaffirmed, alongside the aspirations for security and stability for the Syrian people.

Additionally, the editorials covered the Qatar Culture Days event in Azerbaijan, inaugurated by HE Minister of Culture Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad bin Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani, which attracted a large audience eager to experience Qatari culture and heritage.

Al-Watan newspaper highlighted the Antalya Diplomacy Forum as an important platform for addressing issues in the Gaza Strip, including the challenges posed by Israeli actions. HE Prime Minister participated in a Joint Arab-Islamic Summit-Commissioned Ministerial Committee Meeting, reiterating Qatar's commitment to the Palestinian cause and the importance of the two-state solution. His Excellency condemned the politicization of humanitarian aid in Gaza and called for decisive international actions to stop the aggression.

The Joint Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee meeting statement was also noted, emphasizing the need for concrete actions to implement the two-state solution and achieve lasting peace.

Meanwhile, Al-Sharq newspaper underscored Qatar's sustained support for the Syrian people since the onset of the Syrian crisis in 2011. The newspaper reiterated Qatar's commitment to aiding Syria's stability and reconstruction efforts. It highlighted the meeting between HE Prime Minister and the Syrian President, reinforcing Qatar's support for Syria's sovereignty and the aspirations of its people.
