Qatari Reserve Team Triumphs Over Kuwait in Arab Basketball Championship

Manama: The Qatari Reserve Team defeated their Kuwaiti counterparts 72-69 in the 4th round of the 26th Arab Basketball Championship held in Bahrain. The event, which concludes on Saturday, witnessed a gripping contest between the two teams.

According to Qatar News Agency, the match showcased intense competition, emphasizing the challenging nature of this edition of the tournament. The Qatari team edged out the first period with a one-point lead at 18-17. However, the Kuwaiti team rallied to turn the game around, leading 23-21, and maintained their advantage through the third period with a 17-16 score.

In a decisive fourth period, the Qatari team successfully imposed their strategy, winning the final segment 17-12. This victory raised their score to 7 points, while the Kuwaiti team remained last in the standings with 5 points.

This win marks the second consecutive victory for the Qatari reserve team in the tournament, following their previous success against the UAE with a 78-71 scoreline. The Qatari team is set to conclude their participation in the tournament by facing the Tunisian team, who currently have 9 points, on Saturday.
