Qatari Teams to Compete in Groups of Similar Caliber in West Asia Table Tennis Championship

The 2024 West Asia Table Tennis Championship draw produced groups of teams of similar caliber to compete with one another, which will include Qatar's U-17, U-15, U-13, and U-11 teams. The championship, which will see substantial participation from players representing 11 countries from West Asia region, will kick start at the Sports Palace Hall in Al Hussein Youth City on Monday, and will run until August 31. Qatar's U-17 team were placed in Group 1 alongside the teams of Iraq and Kuwait. Group 2 includes Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, and Bahrain, while Group 3 features Jordan, Palestine, and Syria. In the U-15 category, Qatars team are in Group 1 with Lebanon, Yemen, and Kuwait. Group 2, however, consists of the teams of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Jordan. Qatar's U-13 team are in Group 1 with Lebanon, Bahrain, and Kuwait. Group 2 includes the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Iraq. As for the U-11 category, Qatars team are grouped with Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Kuwait in Group 1, whereas Group 2 comprises B ahrain, the UAE, Iraq, and Syria. The championship is expected to feature strong competition across all events sanctioned by the West Asia Table Tennis Union, including team events, singles, doubles, and mixed doubles, for all age categories.
