It underscores the nation's unity, justice, consultation, the rule of law, and equal citizenship. According to Qatar News Agency, the editorial highlighted that this referendum is a testament to national cohesion and a step towards enhancing the state's development framework. It aims to meet citizens' aspirations for stability and progress, which future generations will remember with pride. Al-Watan expressed pride in being part of this historic event through active participation and a strong affirmative vote. In a related editorial piece titled "Humanitarian Crisis in Sudan," The Peninsula discussed Qatar's active role in supporting mediation efforts since the conflict began in Sudan in April 2023. The newspaper noted Qatar's condemnation of violence against civilians in Al Jazirah state and its adherence to internat ional law. The Peninsula further affirmed Qatar's commitment to alleviating the suffering of the Sudanese people. The nation co-sponsored the Sudan Pledging Conference 2023 and pledged $50 million to support the Humanitarian Response Plan for Sudan and the Regional Refugee and Resilience Plan.
