Qatar’s Badminton Team Take Part in 3rd Asian Youth Games in Bahrain

Manama: The Qatari national badminton team is participating in the 3rd Asian Youth Games in Bahrain, running until October 31. Headed by Ibrahim Al Khelaifi, the Qatari delegation consists of Asma Abel, Ahmed Al Maliki, and Hamad Al Maliki. The Asian Youth Games serve as qualifiers for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympics. According to Qatar News Agency, Khaled Al Khelaifi, Chairman of the National Teams Committee at the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Badminton, and Padel Federation, stated that the games are an important opportunity for the athletes to gain experience and compete with some of the best young athletes in the continent. Al Khelaifi expressed full confidence in the abilities of Qatari players, emphasizing their potential to perform well and achieve results that will help Qatar qualify for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympics. The Chairman highlighted that the federation is committed to developing Qatar's athletes by offering specialized training programs and camps. These initiatives are designed to enhance the techn ical and physical readiness of the athletes for various local and international competitions.
