Doha: The annual meetings of the FIFA standing committees convened on Tuesday in Doha. Thirty out of the 35 committees that form FIFA's organizational structure, comprising over 500 members, convened to develop and improve the sport, assess the results of ongoing football projects, discuss ways to enhance them, and push for the execution of future initiatives. According to Qatar News Agency, these meetings also discussed programs to expand the participation of younger age groups in women's football tournaments. Furthermore, the committees reviewed the latest preparations of Canada, Mexico, and the United States for hosting the FIFA World Cup next summer. FIFA President Gianni Infantino extended his thanks to the Qatar Football Association (QFA), led by HE Jassim bin Rashid Al Buainain, for its efforts in hosting the FIFA standing committees, which saw the attendance of representatives from various international federations. In this context, QFA Secretary-General Mansoor Al Ansari voiced delight at hosting these football events, which reflect QFA's commitment to developing the game.
