The State of Qatar's diplomatic, consular and representative missions abroad organized various sporting activities on the occasion of the 12th edition of the National Sport Day (NSD), under the slogan "The Choice is Yours".
In Brussels, the State of Qatar's mission to the European Union and NATO organized a sporting event, with the participation of HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the European Union and NATO Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Malki, the diplomatic staff, the military representative in the mission and local employees.
The event included various outdoor sports activities, as well as competitions in one of the indoor gyms.
In his speech on this occasion, HE the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the European Union and NATO hailed the State of Qatar's announcement of an annual NSD, stressing the importance of practicing sports and its benefits to individuals and society.
In London, the State of Qatar's embassy to the UK partnered with the Sisterhood FC organization, which seeks to enable Muslim women to engage in football activities, on the occasion of the country's NSD.
Under the partnership, the State of Qatar provided GBP 20,000 to support the growth of Sisterhood FC. The fund will be used to cover the costs of football clothing, renting stadiums, developing outreach programs, and communication to raise awareness about the organization among Muslim girls from all over the UK, and increase their involvement in football.
HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the UK Fahd bin Mohammed Al Attiyah attended a friendly football match between the embassy staff team and the organization's team, in the presence of the diplomatic staff, local employees, organization members, media representatives, as well as Qatari students residing in London.
Various sports activities were held at the Westway Sports Center, including climbing, tennis, table tennis, volleyball and yoga. The embassy also sponsored the annual Battersea Park Marathon for a distance of 5 and 10 kilometers, with the participation of more than 500 runners In Beijing, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the People's Republic of China organized a sporting event on the occasion of the country's NSD in the Olympic Green in Chaoyang district, with the participation of HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the People's Republic of China Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Dehaimi, diplomats and staff.
In a speech on this occasion, HE the Ambassador stressed the importance of the NSD, which reflects the awareness of the State and its wise leadership of the importance of consolidating the values of sport to build a strong and healthy society, pointing out that the State of Qatar became a symbol of sport at the global level after the success of hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
The event included a variety of sports activities, including football matches, table tennis, running, and others.
In Canberra, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to Australia organized a sporting event with the participation of HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Australia Saad bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud, diplomats and local staff. The event included various sports activities.
In Seoul, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Korea organized a sporting event, with the participation of HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Korea Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Hamer, diplomats and embassy staff, as well as ambassadors and diplomats from sisterly Arab embassies to Korea.

Acting Charge d'Affairs at the embassy Jamal bin Abdul Rahman Al Jaber, said in a speech on this occasion that the NSD confirms the State's keenness to encourage healthy lifestyles within society, and to consolidate the sports culture.
In Spain, the Consulate General of the State of Qatar in the Spanish city of Barcelona organized a sporting event, with the participation of HE Consul General of the State of Qatar in Barcelona Mohammed bin Sami Al Subaey, diplomats, local staff and their families. The event included a football match.
In Manila, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of the Philippines held a sporting event, with the participation of Acting Charge d'Affaires Mohammed bin Yousef Al Malki and Second Secretary at the embassy Hassan Muhanna Al Ajmi, in addition to local employees.
The event included various sports activities in football, volleyball, games and entertainment competitions.
In Tehran, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Islamic Republic of Iran held a sporting event, with the participation of diplomats and employees.
In The Hague, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Kingdom of the Netherlands organized a sporting event on the occasion of the country's NSD. In Mogadishu, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Federal Republic of Somalia organized a sporting event on the occasion of NSD, with the participation of Acting Charge d'Affaires Hamad Rashid Al Marri and the embassy staff.
In a speech on this occasion, the Acting Charge d'Affaires stressed the NSD's importance, noting that it aims to encourage and support the participation of youth and all groups in sports.
In Yangon, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar organized a sporting event on the occasion of NSD, with the participation of Acting Charge d'Affaires Abdulaziz bin Yousuf Jolo and the embassy staff.
In a speech on this occasion, the Acting Charge d'Affaires affirmed that NSD comes in line with Qatar National Vision 2030, which encourages everyone to participate periodically in sports activities to promote physical and mental health.

The event included competitions in football, basketball, table tennis, and running.

HE the Ambassador addressed the functions, that included swimming, cycling, football and walking, saying that the NSD comes within the framework of the State of Qatar's attention to promoting sports activities that enhance physical and mental health, reduce the risk of diseases, in addition to reviving and strengthening work values through team spirit.
In Sofia, Qatari Embassy in Bulgaria organized a sporting event on the occasion of the NSD, with the participation of HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Bulgaria Fahd bin Ibrahim Al Mushiri and local staff at the embassy.
The event included sports activities, such as walking and jogging.
In Bucharest, the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Romania organized a sporting event on the occasion of the NSD, with the participation of members of the embassy, a number of Romanian officials and members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Romania.
