La Spezia: The flag of the State of Qatar was raised on the strategic transport and support vessel 'Al Fulk' on Saturday, marking its official handover to the Qatari Amiri Navy. The flag-raising ceremony took place in La Spezia, Italy, and was attended by a number of high-profile dignitaries and military officials from both Qatar and Italy. According to Qatar News Agency, the ceremony saw the participation of HE Commander of the Amiri Naval Forces, Staff Major General (Naval) Abdulla bin Hassan AlSulaiti, alongside Fincantieri's CEO and General Manager, Pierroberto Folgiero. Additionally, HE Representative of the Chief of Staff of the Italian Navy, Vice Admiral Andrea Gueglio, was present to witness the handover. Other notable attendees included HE Qatar's Ambassador to the Italian Republic, Khalid bin Youssef Al Sada; HE Commander of the Amiri Land Forces, Staff Major General Jassim bin Ali Al Attiyah; and HE Military Attache in Italy, Staff Major General (Naval) Hilal bin Ali Al Muhannadi. Several senior officers of the armed forces were also in attendance to commemorate this significant milestone for the Qatari naval capabilities.
