Qatar’s Hathab Equestrian Series Kicks Off Ninth Round at Al Shaqab

Doha: The ninth round of the Qatar Equestrian Tour - Longines Hathab commenced on Thursday at the Longines Arena at Al Shaqab. The event is organized by the Qatar Equestrian Federation in partnership with Al Shaqab.

According to Qatar News Agency, Layan Sultan Al Thani emerged victorious in the amateur class (100 cm) with a time of 16.35 seconds riding Dino. Maryam Abdulkarim secured the second position on Beyonce in 17.43 seconds, while Adel Khalil Abdulrazzaq finished third on Fonyx. The trophies for this category were presented by Saeed Hamad Al Rashdi, Deputy Director of the Longines Hathab series.

In the silver class (130 cm), Khalid Al Hadi took the title by clocking 28.84 seconds on Karlton. Mohammed Abdullah Jumaa came in second on Viahipi with a time of 28.89 seconds, and Hussein Saeed Haidan claimed third place on Sausido with 29.89 seconds. Ali bin Youssef Al Rumaihi, a board member of the Qatar Equestrian Federation, presented the awards for this category.

The competition continues on Friday with the Future Riders class for ages 6-12 at a height of 70 cm. This will be followed by the Open Class at 110 cm and the 140 cm Golden Class, which features both individual and team events.
