Qatar’s National Day: A Celebration of Identity and Progress

Doha: President of the General Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Aqarat), Eng. Khalid bin Ahmed Al Obaidli, affirmed that National Day is a cherished national occasion for the people of Qatar, renewing their belonging, loyalty, and allegiance to the homeland and its wise leadership. It is also an occasion to celebrate national identity and a milestone for reinforcing awareness of Qatar's history and journey, which has become a model of progress and stability.

According to Qatar News Agency, Eng. Al Obaidli stated that the National Day is a celebration of the founders and an expression of loyalty to the wise leadership that has prioritized human beings as the nation's most valuable asset, and the focus and ultimate goal of development. He extended his warmest congratulations and best wishes to HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on the occasion. He also pointed out that this National Day's slogan "With You It Rises, and From You It Awaits," embodies a belief in the pivotal role of the nation's citizens in advancing the march of development, renaissance, and prosperity led by HH the Amir.

Al Obaidli added that celebrating the National Day has become a deeply rooted practice, emanating from the hearts of Qataris. He described it as a practice through which they express their appreciation for the wise leadership and the historical figures of the state, the founding leaders, who laid the foundations upon which modern Qatar was built, achieving an influential regional and international presence.

In this context, he noted the nationwide urban renaissance and the growth of the real estate sector, indicating that Doha has become an attractive destination for investors and real estate developers. This, he added, is due to the directives of the wise leadership and the legislation that has facilitated business and real estate projects.

He explained that the Authority has achieved a qualitative leap in the real estate investment sector within a record time, most notably by launching the real estate ownership service project, enabling beneficiaries to obtain initial title deeds and real estate residency permits within three days. This is part of an integrated system that includes the Authority, the Ministries of Interior, Justice, Municipality, and Communications, as well as the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau.

He added that the Authority continues to work on finding solutions to all issues that arose prior to its establishment, while maintaining ongoing efforts to overcome obstacles previously faced by investors and stakeholders in the real estate sector.

Eng. Al Obaidli concluded his remarks to QNA by saying that National Day embodies the unity of the leadership and the people, and that on this occasion, the commitment to supporting the march of progress and construction to achieve the nation's welfare and prosperity is renewed, noting that it is a day of pride and honor for all citizens.
