New York:HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations, Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani, met with HE UN Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Deputy Emergency Relief Coordinator, Mohammed Yahya, at the Permanent Mission’s headquarters.

According to Qatar News Agency, Sheikha Alya congratulated Yahya on his new appointment and expressed Qatar’s dedication to enhancing cooperation with the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

Yahya thanked Qatar for its collaboration with the United Nations and praised its contribution to supporting humanitarian efforts. He emphasized the necessity of ongoing coordination to address urgent humanitarian needs in areas affected by crises.
