QBF President Highlights Success of FIBA 3×3 Lusail Challenger 2025

Doha: President of the Qatar Basketball Federation (QBF) and Director General of the FIBA Basketball World Cup Qatar 2027 Local Organizing Committee, Mohammed Al Meghaiseeb, praised the FIBA 3x3 Lusail Challenger 2025's high technical level and intense competition, describing it as a highly successful and exceptional event in terms of organization, performance, and audience engagement. According to Qatar News Agency, Al Meghaiseeb expressed the QBF's pride in the outstanding organizational and technical levels it delivered in this important event, which serves as one of the qualifying rounds for the FIBA 3x3 World Tour. He added that the FIBA 3x3 Lusail Challenger 2025's goal is to attract top 3x3 basketball teams from around the world to compete, accumulate points, and qualify for the FIBA 3x3 World Tour. The QBF President stressed the tournament's significance and noted the strength of the participating teams, many of which hold world titles and Olympic medals from previous Games. Al Meghaiseeb said tha t the FIBA 3x3 Lusail Challenger 2025 is one of the promotional events for the FIBA Basketball World Cup Qatar 2027, solidifying Qatar's position on the global sporting stage. He noted that many upcoming events will also promote the World Tour, which will be held in the Middle East for the first time. He added that Qatar's tourist attractions are being leveraged to host major sporting events, attracting global audiences to visit Qatar and explore its landmarks such as Souq Waqif, the Doha Corniche, the Pearl, and Sealine Beach. The Director General of the FIBA Basketball World Cup Qatar 2027 Local Organizing Committee said that Qatar has become a distinguished destination for hosting major 3x3 basketball tournaments. Al Meghaiseeb called on fans to continue to support QBF's events and thanked them for the FIBA 3x3 Lusail Challenger 2025 turnout.
