QC Discusses Enhancing Tourism Cooperation With Armenia

Doha: Qatar Chamber (QC) hosted a delegation from the Republic of Armenia, led by Lusine Gevorgyan, Chairperson of the Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Economy, to discuss enhancing cooperation in the tourism sector between the two countries.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting explored ways to boost collaboration between the Qatari and Armenian private sectors, focusing on investment incentives and facilities offered by Armenia to attract Qatari investments in tourism. The discussions emphasized the importance of strengthening ties and exploring new avenues for partnership.

QC Board Member and Chairperson of the Chamber's Tourism Committee, HE Sheikh Hamad bin Ahmed Al-Thani, highlighted the close cooperation between the countries and expressed hope for further expansion through a small business council. This council aims to bring together Qatari and Armenian investors and business owners to discuss potential partnerships in infrastructure, entertainment, hospitality, and other sectors.

Lusine Gevorgyan, leading the Armenian delegation, expressed Armenia's eagerness to deepen tourism cooperation and attract more Qatari tourists. She emphasized Armenia's appealing tourist destinations and investment opportunities. Gevorgyan also extended an invitation to Qatari business owners to visit Armenia to explore the investment climate and participate in the Armenian Touristic Fair in Yerevan this November.
